Mabel appeared at my back door alone, just over 2 weeks ago. She sat there quietly, for hours. When I fed my own cats, she bolted in to get to food, so I took her back outside and put out a full bowl for her. A day later, she was back, with 3 kittens, who fled into the drain as soon as they saw me. She's a very, very sweet girl, who the vet thinks is about 2 1/2. She loves cuddles and ear scratches, but is still malnourished and needs careful feeding, as she's not used to food so tends to bolt it down so fast that she will vomit. She's got the most amazing blue/green eyes, and looks at you very seriously when you talk to her, and if I didn't have 3 cats already, I would love to keep her.
I'm positive that she's an abandoned pet - she's too used to people for anything else. She's had the full set of blood tests, and apart slight skin condition due to malnourishment and a low immune system, she's perfectly healthy. She really deserves a good home and a loving family. She is currently unvaccinated and not spayed due to vets' advice, as she is still nursing her kittens and is too underweight to undergo surgery. I am happy to cover costs of her surgery and initial vaccinations, once she has gained enough weight.
