My friends and rescued 3 kittens and their Mama from a drain behind my house, a little over 3 weeks ago. Mouse's two brothers and her mama, Mabel have already found forever homes, but Mouse - the only girl - is holding out for a hero.

It took me 2 days of waiting over the drain to tempt her out. She's called Mouse because she's very shy, she likes to hide, she's grey and I like the idea of a cat called Mouse! She's definitely the most timid of the lot, but very sweet when you get her settled for a cuddle or a stroke, and she has the most beautiful colouring. She's just starting to learn how to play, and is my (secret) favourite.

She is, however, very shy, and will need someone who will take the time to properly socialise her. She's now 9 weeks old, so time is of the essence for this - she will make someone a wonderful companion, if they're willing to invest the time and love, and she is totally worth it. She's dewormed, deflead and has had initial vaccinations. She will need the next set of jabs, and will need to be spayed when she is old enough.

Please email if you're interested in giving her a forever home.

I wouldn't let you adopt her without meeting her first! Can you please email me?

I've had numerous enquiries about Mouse, but few who have responded to my replies. Please only enquire if you're genuinely interested, you realise that the first couple of months may involve some work and care, and you understand what cat parenting really involves. Kittens aren't just cute balls of fluff to be shown off. I went through the same socialisation issues with my oldest cat, Matilda, when I adopted her in the UK at 8 weeks old. She's going to be 14 this year, and it was worth every single moment.

Hi all. So, I was forced to leave the country, (MM2H does NOT take 120 days) hence the silence. I have realised that Mouse is terrified of absolutely everyone and everything... except me. Am sure that there are amazing people with loving homes out there, but she's hard work - really hard work. I can just about get her to play with me, we're working on getting her to eat, when she isn't in panic shutdown. Thank you all so much for the interest, but I don't feel that I can continue to offer her for adoption. I'm in love with her, and she needs me. Sorry.

Also, for future reference, calling a kitten "it" is an immediate no no for for any sensible fosterer. If you can't be bothered to read the details, don't ask.
