Rover is one of the unfortunate Shih Tzu that was rescued and found; He was found near Permas Jaya industrial area, a place he is not suppose to be. He is almost on the deathbed when he was spotted by one kind-hearted passer-by.
His condition was terrible when found - seriously dehydrated, thin to bone, left eye was blind, crippled leg as was being hit by car, a huge maggot wound on his butt,in poor health that he can’t even walk but lying sideways. Is he lost or being abandoned?? Mr Valen who spotted him rushed him to the vet in seconds.
The vet diagnosed Rover as seriously dehydrated and malnutrition. Being unable to adapt to living as a stray and source for food made him so weak and blind on his left eye as bacterial infection. We suspect old age as the reason of him being abandoned but we are wrong! Vet told us that Rover was only about 2 year old!! Why is this young pedigree dog going through all these suffering…?
Rover was hospitalized for 5 days and is now in HOPE shelter to recover. Our shelter is not suitable for dogs like Rover as they need daily grooming and meticulous care. We sincerely hope to find a new home for Rover, a home that will love him and take good care of him. Will you be able to adopt Rover? Love him and live together happily ever after?
Shih Tzu is a very popular breed in Malaysia as well as in other countries. It is outgoing, happy, affectionate, friendly, sweet and trusting toward all. This ideal temperament makes Shih Tzu the suitable breed as companion and house pet. However it is not an easy task to maintain and take good care of them as it is very time consuming and costly.
Not to mention when the dog is old, diagnosed with skin problem, eye infection etc that make it more difficult to take care of its health. These reasons cause Shih Tzu being abandoned by the irresponsible owner. It had become common for us to found abandoned and sick Shih Tzu on the roadside nowadays. Its house pet’s characteristics don’t support them to fend for themselves.
Remember my friend – ADOPT, DON’T BUY!
RM350 of Adoption Fees includes spaying, vaccination and microchip fees of the doggie.
