At 12-years-old, Nacha is everyone’s favourite grandma. Despite being abandoned four times due to unlucky circumstances and cruel adopters, Nacha remains loving, trusting and affectionate. Having lived outdoors as a community cat for many years, Nacha now has severe health problems with only a few more months to live. Out of compassion for the difficult life she has led, we want to give Nacha the love and care she deserves for the last few months of her life.
A few weeks ago, Nacha was found weak, dehydrated and in pain after being heartlessly abandoned by her fourth adopter. She was rushed to the hospital and admitted for severe kidney damage, heart damage and a severe dental infection. After a few weeks of hospital care, Nacha was stable enough to undergo sedation for dental surgery to remove all of her infected teeth that were causing her such pain. Though she survived the surgery, Nacha suffered a seizure and 2 heart attacks in its aftermath. Thankfully, her condition has stabilised, and she will be able to live even up to a year with good care.
Nacha is now in palliative care to ensure her final days are full of the love and care she deserves but never got. Her daily care involves daily subcuts, 5 different types of medication including painkillers for her arthritis, tube feeding and dressing, 4 packets of renal pouches from Royal Canine per day, and regular blood tests. Due to the assortment of treatments and care Nacha requires, the cost of her hospital bill was high, and the cost of her palliative care bill is also high. However, despite the severity of her health issues and the intensive medical care she has to undergo daily, Nacha is happy. She loves her palliative care home and those who are caring for her. In order to ensure Nacha remains happy till the time comes for her to cross the rainbow bridge, we hope you will give what you can to support her newfound joy for the rest of her twilight days.
