NOTE: Has been spayed & released from whence she was found. (see last paragraph)

Mewt, for that is what she is – 'mute', arrived out-of-the-blue with a sibling about a month ago. Both appeared healthy, though somewhat scrawny. They'd been scavenging the garbage dump and begging scraps from patrons of the kopi-tiam. One day, I didn't see the sibling anymore.... I took Mewt in because I noticed her eye was swollen and teary. A visit to the vet soon corrected the problem. After a short period of quarantine and introduction via smells, I introduced my 3 cats to Mewt who remains wary of the two females (Abigail and Gigi) but absolutely playful with the male (Monti) who doesn't growl or hiss at her like the other two.

Mewt was neutered in Aug 2010. Unfortunately, after all the time in my care (4 months), she has not been successfully socialised and in fact did not get along with my two other females.
I released her where I found her (downstairs, at the kopitiam) and she has been seen in the company of the big black male cat that was adopted by the kopitiam owner. I feel saddened somewhat because as an adoptable kitty, Mewt's case was a failure. At least she doesn't have to worry about pregnancies and I shall always keep an eye out for her well-being.

Thank you. She's being trained to be both human and cat-friendly by myself and my 3 other pets. And she learns fast too!

The vet says to wait a wee bit longer before spaying..... so she'll be staying with me a wee while longer. But as I can't keep her indefinitely, I will have to turn her loose onto the streets after she has recovered from the neutering operation. Hopefully, a place in someone's heart will open up for this sweet lass before then.

Awww Gary, she's really somethin! She looks a bit like Meeka when I first saw him. Now both Meeka and Teddy are so fat, their tummies wobble when they walk :P

Bless you for trying to re-home Mewt and especially for spaying her! My heart aches for her and for you -- I can't imagine how difficult it was to return her to the kopitiam. I believe you did the best things you could, both for Mewt and for your cats. Now she has a black, furry guardian angel.

Thank you for the kind response, ManekiNeko. She's been 'out' for a week now and looks well. Thankfuly, the black cat (I nicknamed Sylvester) and Mewt seem to get on okay. If I get a chance to photograph them, I'll upload for you to see. Thanks again!

Hi there,
How are you? Is any of your cats still available? Would you mind to transport your cat until Langkawi?
Thank you so much.

Hi marcelleve. Thank you for your response. I do not have any cats/kittens for adoption at present. All the best in your search!
