Horace is (was?) a street-wise cat, foraging around the kopitiam. He'd always coming running to greet me whenever I was in the vicinity. One day I found him limping and brought him into my home. I had him cleaned, vaccinated and neutered before releasing him again. After a while, I never saw him again. It's been over a year. I miss his gregariousness and warmth. I hope someone also found in him the same beautiful 'soul' and took him into their heart and home. Peace and love go with you, Horace.

Horace is a beautiful boy, I hope he's in a good place too. Thank you for what you did for him, it is so kind and wonderful.

Thank you for your kind response and encouragement. Only since becoming a cat 'owner' have I realized the problem of strays and abandoned cats around us. These animals used to be 'invisible' to me!

It's my opinion that as long as there are pet owners who continue being 'unintentionally' blind to the suffering of the dispossessed animals or uneducated on the practicalities of neutering their own pets, contributions towards the rescue and rehabilitation of the less fortunate animals has to be considered part and parcel of being a responsible pet owner.
