中國-兩會提出 「全面禁止食用貓狗」議案

As the world and human mindset continues to change, more and more people are treating cats and dogs as their companion, and more and more people are voicing out the prohibition of cat and dog meat consumption. We believe the complete ban of cat and dog meat consumption is what the people desires and it will be the trend moving forward. Therefore, DAB NPC deputy Brave Chanand CPPCC member Leung-Che-Cheung will propose a law on the “The improvement of civilisation and friendly image of our nation by comprehensively banning the consumption of cat and dog meats”. This includes having heavier penalties for those who consume and also increased penalties for pet theives who steals and supplies pets for consumption.

隨著時代及人們觀念上的改變，越來越多人視貓狗為動物伴侶，越來越多聲音要求禁止食用貓狗，我們相信，保護動物是民心所向，亦是大勢所趨；所以，今年兩會，民建聯全國人大代表陳勇和全國政協委員梁志祥將提出「持續提昇國家的文明和友善形象，全面禁止食用貓狗」議案，當中會建議訂立有阻嚇性的罰則，打擊盜竊貓狗供食用的罪行。

The Ipoh Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (The ISPCA), is a non-profit organisation formed under the Societies Act, 1966 of Malaysia. We are affiliated to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), London.

Our no-kill Shelter is located at Lot 38642, 4 1/2 Milestone, Jalan Gopeng, 31300 Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia and nestles amongst beautiful limestone hills. Currently we are guardian to approximately 250 dogs and 80 cats at our Shelter.
