Did you know that one of the major threats to our river resources is improper solid waste disposal? Our very own 110km long Klang River was reported to have been clogged up with an estimated 700kg of garbage daily. Malaysia produces about 38,000 metric tonnes of waste daily, which is equivalent to 70 A380 Airbuses filled with trash. Sadly, only 24% of the waste gets separated and recycled, while the rest would end up in landfills. This not only pollutes our environment but also adversely affects our health.
