Hello there! I’m Chatty. I earned my name after the staff at the Soi Dog shelter noticed my love of nattering away in my own little doggy language. You should hear my cute, excitable howls! However, canine conversations are reserved for my nearest and dearest human companions only, those special ones who take the time to get to know me.

I’m always willing to build trust with those around me, it just takes a little bit because of what I’ve been through. You see, before I arrived at the shelter, I was hit by a car. The driver just sped on, leaving me in agonising pain and unable to walk. My saviour was a local lady who found me at the roadside and alerted Soi Dog. It was too late for them to save my right hind leg, but you’d be surprised at how easily I can still get around. I am a girl who can talk the talk and walk the walk!

I’m a good listener too. I will happily sit at your feet – ears standing to attention and bushy tail wagging – as you tell me all about your day. Imagine that. A furry confidant to keep you company. What a team we could be!

Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals.
