Polo’s #Furrytailending

When we featured our co-founder late Gill Dalley, holding this pitiful little pooch, everyone wanted to know more about her.

It’s been over 6 years since this picture was taken, but this doggie was worth a post of her own. Would you believe us, if we said that the fluffy ginger dog on the right hand side of first picture is the same dog that Gill was holding, when she was rescued off the streets, in 2016?

She was named Cristy Polo, now mostly Polo, was later adopted by one of John and Gills’s good friends, Donna, who is also the president of Soi Dog Foundation, UK.

Here is what Donna had to say about this miracle dog…

“This little ray of fun and mischief packed up her troubles in her ol’ kit bag & flew here to the UK to start her next adventure in life, after being nursed back to life by her Momma Gill Dalley.

But, not before she repaid Gill by ripping up every piece of the Dalleys’ garden furniture & tossing it into their pool. Gill said their garden was like a Christmas snow scene that morning with the white stuffing from cushions strewn everywhere.

I’ve often wondered if Gill’s goodbye tears at the airport were of sadness or relief. They were reunited 5 months later in the U.K. where Polo showed slight signs of gratitude at this crazy lady who was hugging & kissing her but her first priority was to check her pockets for cheese.”

Donna is convinced that if canine ADHD was a real condition then Polo’s will be off the charts.

“She is wired up as wrong as me with an attitude to match, but, would I have her any other way? Absolutely not.

For all her weirdo ways, she’s just a frightened little girl who needs to deal with new things slowly & in her own strange way.

I don’t know how I’d have coped with losing Gill if I didn’t still have a huge piece of her in Polo. She still exudes Gills attitude, her strength an her [tough] minded will. Gill Dalley more than rubbed off on this dog.” 💕

Thank You to Donna for taking such good care of Polo and giving her the most fabulous life, she could have ever dreamed of.
