Photos From Soi Dog Foundation's Post

Do you remember Chrom? She was found at a golf course with her left hind leg so mangled, the bone was exposed, protruding straight through her skin. Barely able to walk, in absolute agony, she was limping around pitifully when a kind person noticed her suffering and called Soi Dog.

But just look how happy she looks two months later – almost like she’s howling from pure glee!

Please help us save the many others like her who get into trouble. Click on https://bit.ly/SaveChrom now to make a gift and join our Emergency Response Team.

We were able to rescue this sweet girl only because of kind animal lovers like you. Homeless dogs like Chrom once was have no one else. Your gift will provide emergency care for severely injured homeless animals like her. Even the smallest monthly donation will help.

No dog should have to suffer like Chrom did, nearly invisible to anyone who could help, with no hope of getting relief or of anyone even caring about her pain.

When she arrived at Soi Dog, our vets quickly set about caring for her horrifically injured leg. Sadly, it had to be amputated – it was simply too mangled to be saved, and the tissue was dying.

We believe she’d been caught in a trap and was unable to tear out of it for at least a day – probably the longest day of her life.

But thanks to compassionate people like you, Chrom’s horrible homeless days are over forever.

Chrom has been here at the Soi Dog hospital and shelter since mid-August. During that time, in addition to receiving care for her leg, she has been spayed and has had a facial abscess drained.

She’s also been receiving antibiotics to fight off infection, as well as medications to ease her pain, make her calm and comfortable, and reduce swelling in her spleen.

Our vets report this lovely girl is walking quite well on her remaining three legs, which many dogs are able to do after an amputation.

This sweet 4-year-old was visibly scared throughout her ordeal, but didn’t struggle as our vets treated her. It’s as though she understood she was finally safe and that someone truly cared about her.

We could not have rescued this girl and so many like her if people like you didn’t have incredible hearts and boundless generosity. Your gift now will ensure we can keep being there for the homeless, suffering animals who need us. Thank you. Click to donate now: https://bit.ly/SaveChrom
