Tabs’ New Basket

Heidi still adopts the street cat mentality of “shifting nests”. So once a week or so, she will find a new place in the house.
Last week, it was on the side table and she was there all week.
Yesterday, she decided it was time to shift, and Heidi takes what Heidi wants. It doesn’t matter if it is someone else’s place.
She decided to take Tabs’ basket in the kitchen so poor Tabs had to look for somewhere else. (Tabs doesn’t practise “shifting nests”. She’s very satisfied with just one place.)
This morning, we placed a pink basket on the side table and Tabs decided that would be her new place!
Yay! I have a new pink basket!
It did not take her long to settle down.
But…
…it looks like Heidi has changed her mind and she wants the pink basket now.
Hey, that’s not fair, Heidi. You have already taken Tabs’ basket in the kitchen!
Heidi takes what Heidi wants. It’s non-negotiable.
You see what I mean?
Tabs is looking for a new place now. Poor little Tabs.
The consolation for Tabs is that she gets our bed every night, between our pillows. That’s her special privilege that Heidi has not grabbed yet.
