We may not always have photos of sexy species who are endangered, or those that would steal your hearts.

Most of the animals we work for are feared, common; seen as a nuisance or misunderstood to be ridden with diseases. But they too are sentient beings and they too need some help and understanding.

It’s hard to raise funds when we don’t quite have the fluffiest, cutest face on your screen, but we are in desperate need of funds.

Without government funding, we rely on public donations to keep us afloat.

ACRES (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society) is a pioneering Singapore-based charity and Institution of Public Character, founded by Singaporeans in 2001 with the aim of promoting animal welfare.

ACRES has six focus areas: Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Wildlife Crime Investigation, Zoo Animal Welfare, Humane Education, Community Outreach and Promoting Cruelty-Free Living.
