PICK OF THE WEEK

Successfully Fostered and Ready For YOU!

The Black Nose Trio

Our arrival at the Shelter before being fostered top left in the photo. Rosie is at the back, while Candy is the one on the left and Bowie is at the right. Don’t we look so frightened and miserable? It was really scary for us. Too many changes were happening in our lives all at once. We could not stop shivering and shaking for a day or two.
That’s why we dance rather well now we think!

They call us The Black Nose Trio. Makes it sound like we are a singing group but actually we are rather good as the 3 month old dancing sisters. As you can see Candy is ever ready to show you a step or two. We are always running around with a hop and a skip here and there and we have the right body shape for dancing too – almost like long and slender cocktail sausages. We were found by somebody in a well to do residential area in Penang. Looks like we were classified as “unwanted” then. But thanks to our foster parents we are very much wanted now. Each of us had our own foster family and how very grateful we are to all of them. Look at how great, confident and gorgeous we are now. We now know what love, sharing and caring is all about and our lives are full of it. We want to share it all with you. Our fostering made us realize that we can’t be together all the time so it’s quite all right get us three different homes. We are all vaccinated and very healthy, ready to go straight into your arms.

Kipper

My foster family called me Kipper after the well known British character Kipper the Dog because the shape of our ears are the same. I want to tell you that I am not fiction. I am for real—warm, huggable, adorable and very intelligent. I only bark when it is absolutely necessary or when I know you have food in your hand and you are not giving it to me.

See the picture of me when I just arrived at the Animal shelter and my
foster family came to get me! Folks just see how important fostering is. It gives us a
bright future full of promise and hope that we will be just as good as all other dogs
who have happy homes with wonderful people who love them. Of course we know
that our foster families are special people and we love them very much. If only we
had words to thank them with so that they know.

I am now 2 going on 3 months old. My mom was a stray dog and after having us she ran off and a man brought us into the Shelter. Now I am back in the Shelter again—but this time I am waiting for you. Like Kipper the Dog, I am also surrounded by many pals and we all look forward to play time. My favourite thing to do is to play ball with people. I hope that whoever is going to be my permanent family has a ball in the house. Meet up with you real soon.Source: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151027401489972&set=a.140205684971.140013.69082364971&type=1

SPCA Penang

SPCA Penang's main objectives are to prevent the unnecessary suffering of animals and to ensure responsible pet ownership. Hence the Society acts to prevent cruelty to animals and promotes kindness towards them by fostering an intelligent public interest regarding Man's duty animals.

Though the Society is sometimes compelled to put down an animal, our work covers a much more wider scope of rescuing, rehabilitating, healing and re-homing the animals.
