Thank you Inspideans for the generous donations!

From January through February of 2018, Inspideans had the chance to buy one-of-a-kind t-shirts that are cool, funky and artistic. There were six designs in all featuring spirit animals that seemed to describe some Inspideans. It’s no coincidence that the project’s group is called SASI – Spirit Animals Shirts by Inspideans.

Through the sales of the t-shirts, SASI collected RM2,000. The group then decided that this proceeds should go to the care of animals in need. That’s when PAWS, the nearest animal shelter to Inspidea, was chosen. PAWS heavily rely on public donations and volunteers to keep it running.

On June 3rd, 2018, the SASI group visited PAWS to deliver some much needed goods: 3 dog cages, 60 kgs of adult dog food, 40 kgs of puppy food, 24 kgs of adult cat food, 24 kgs of kitten food, 50 kgs of cat litter, 1 roll of XL-heavy duty trash bags and 40 kgs of rice for the caretakers. It’s safe to say that PAWS welcomed the donation from Inspideans.

PAWS

PAWS was founded in 1987 by a small group of local and expatriate volunteers. Through their generosity and imagination, PAWS was constructed on a patch of land owned by Sime Plantations on the Subang Airport Road. This distinct group of sheds and a courtyard still stands today and currently homes around 400 cats and dogs.

The staff that work at PAWS include one veterinary surgeon and a number of full-time personnel. The organisation depends entirely on the generosity of the public through donations or proceeds from charitable events organized and run by volunteers.
