Thinking of owning hamsters but unsure how many to adopt? Many owners are worried that their hamster will be lonely if they just get one. They are actually territorial and dominant creatures who are happier living alone.

Hamsters are prolific breeders as well. Keeping just one will prevent unwanted breeding. Hence, one is the perfect number.
