SOI DOG CLOSED TO VISITORS ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26

Soi Dog Foundation will be closed to visitors on Thursday, October 26 to give people the opportunity to pay their last respects to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the late King of Thailand.

Soi Dog Foundation will be open as usual on Friday, October 27.

The royal cremation ceremony will take place from October 25 to 29, with the cremation occurring on the evening of October 26 at the royal crematorium in Bangkok.

The cremation ceremony follows a year-long period of mourning for His Majesty King Bhumibol, who died on October 13, 2016. The late King was the longest reigning monarch in Thai history. He is greatly beloved for the care he showed the people of Thailand. King Bhumibol also had a deep love for dogs, including strays.
