My name is Yola and I am a cute girl who is almost 8 years old. I am a dog meat trade survivor! I was one of the lucky ones as I was rescued from a truck filled with dogs heading for the Thai border. Instead of suffering a gruesome death I was taken to the government shelter in Buriram, Thailand, where I was given a safe place to stay.

The Soi Dog Shelter in Phuket, Thailand, has been my home for almost 2 years now. The vets thought I was terminally ill so I wasn�t promoted for adoption. However, my condition is under control with steroids which means I could have a number of years left! This is GREAT news as it means I might get to experience the love of a family of my own for the first time in my life!

I am a sweet girl who tends to be alone most days in my enclosure. I walk well on the leash and am affectionate and friendly with the volunteers that come from all over the world to walk us. I don�t cause any trouble with the other dogs and patiently wait my turn to walk.

Please could you find it in your heart to give me a safe, loving, forever home? It would be wonderful to spend the rest of my days soaking up your attention and walking proudly next to you! Please adopt me!
