Special needs students from S.M.K Bukit Baru/Pendidikan Khas Melaka had a blast learning about conservation as part of our Eco-Schools programme.
Teaching students with special educational needs is never a stumbling block to inculcate the sense of love for nature. The Eco-Schools programme encourages an all-inclusive, participatory approach involving students, teachers and the local community at large.
Field trips such as this allows them to experience a more holistic, integrated picture of the information that, in the classroom, can only been presented in a textual and abstract way. Who knows? Someone in this picture might just become the future guardian of turtles in Malaysia.
