CAN YOU SPONSOR A 13-YEAR-OLD DOG?

They found me lying on a street corner, shaking in fear. My eyes were weeping profusely and I was weak and emaciated.

Thanks to people like you, Soi Dog was able to pick me up and get me the urgent medical treatment I needed for the serious infection in my eyes. Sadly, I had already lost the sight in my left eye but otherwise I have made a good recovery and I now live permanently in the Old Dogs enclosure here at the shelter.

I am not a young girl anymore and my life as a street dog has left me wary of people. Although I do greet some volunteers with a wagging tail, I will sometimes snap if they try to touch me. It is not my fault; my trust has been shattered after life on the streets and I am not comfortable with you humans getting too close.

This does mean I am not ready to be adopted right now and at my advanced age, I may end up living my life out here at Soi Dog. Although we are all very well looked after, caring for so many of us does cost a lot of money.
