My name is Mr. Big and I am a beautiful, big-eared boy around 9 years of age. I have lived on the streets for all my life. A kind person fed me and I got by. But life is tough for a street dog when you get older: youngsters come along and compete for every inch of ground and every scrap of food. Life became a struggle and this is why the kind person who fed me decided to ask Soi Dog to take me to the safety of the shelter here in Phuket, Thailand.

With regular meals and surrounded by caring people I was soon back to health. However the doctors here found that I have a mild form of hip dysplasia. I am not in pain at the moment and walk normally, but in future I might need joint supplements and pain relief to manage my condition.

I have a calm nature and a gentle disposition. I do like affection and a good stroke. One of my eyes was damaged when I was a puppy: I had to fight off a snake and the snake spat poison in my eye! I was lucky that I got away with my life. The people here say my sunken eye makes me look special and that it tells a story of bravery and survival!

I like to go for walks and I walk very well on the lead. I enjoy the one-on-one time outside my enclosure with my volunteer very much. The volunteers say that they love my big head, with my adorable squidgy face, framed by my larger than life ears.

Can you find it in your heart to adopt an old veteran like me? I will promise to be your faithful companion and love you with all my heart. I can travel with ease to the USA, Canada, UK or Europe: It is never too late to find true love! So please adopt me.
