MEET GLORIA, ONE IN A BILLION SURVIVOR!
Chickens raised for food in typical intensive farms suffer enormously due to the poor conditions, intensive confinement and from the fact that they have been genetically selected to grow faster and bigger than their bodies can naturally cope.
Gloria was lucky to be rescued by Animal Equality, but she is one of the few lucky survivors. In the United States alone, approximately 9 billion chickens are killed for their flesh each year. And in Singapore, the 2015 data shows that the per capita consumption is 32 kg of chicken per year.
If you want to help Glorias animal friends, the best way is by reducing the consumption of meat, introducing more delicious plant-based alternatives into your diet or going vegetarian/vegan.
