Tigers New Designer Robe
Tweet |
My mum sewed a specially tailor-made robe for Tiger!
It’s much longer than the normal tshirt and the bottom half is double-layered (because that’s where most of the skin lesions are located). Initially, my mum made a strap with velcro to bring the two flanks together, but this proved tricky as Tiger somehow managed to step out of the whole strap and it would end up at the back! So the strap was removed.
The double-layered bottom half serves its purpose as it’s thicker and wider, making biting and licking a bit harder.
Some of the lesions on his back are already drying up, which is really good. Tiger has 9 more days of Itraconazole.
Most of his time is spent outside in the living room or upstairs in our bedroom.
When and if he bites too feverishly, we put him back on the e-collar. But most of the time, the “robes” suffice.
