Belum Rainforest Summit (BRainS 2016) organised by Pulau Banding Foundation in collaboration with NRE, the Perak State Government, the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia, the Malaysian Timber Council and Belum Conservation Malaysia, is being held at the Belum Rainforest Resort in Pulau Banding from the 17-22nd Oct. The theme for the conference is �Towards a Sustainable Forest Ecosystem through Research, Cooperation and Networking�. A total of six papers is being presented by WWF-Malaysia covering various topics highlighting the importance of preserving natural habitats for species and biodiversity conservation in Peninsular Malaysia, particularly in the Belum-Temengor landscape as well as Setiu Wetlands.
