RESCUED TORTOISES NEED YOUR HELP!

At the ACRES Wildlife Rescue Centre, we have about 7 different species of tortoises from across the globe all victims of the illegal exotic pet trade. This gives an idea just how widespread the illegal wildlife trade is – which is pushing many species of tortoises to the brink of extinction.

Their diet varies, with the Indian star tortoises preferring a grassy diet whilst other species, such as the red-footed tortoises, preferring fruits and other types of food.

But all tortoises require a hi-fibre diet. Mazuris tortoise pellets provide this essential mix for us. We mix these pellets with other foodstuffs to provide the tortoises with proper nutrition. With many tortoises in our care, we require a lot of Mazuri pellets to feed them.

The rescued tortoises at the AWRC need your help to obtain more Mazuri tortoise pellets. It would mean the world to the tortoises if we can get more packets of Mazuri donated to us!

If you are able to buy these pellets and donate them to us, it will make a huge difference. If you are able to help or not sure where to buy these pellets, do contact Kalai at kalai@acres.org.sg or 82882426(hp).

Thank you!
