Tiger Comes Out!
Tweet | ![]() |
Tiger had exiled himself to under the sofa for the last 4 days. The only time he was out was when we lifted the sofa to take him out so that I could give him his medicines. He even ate under the sofa.
We thought we shouldn’t force him to come out since he felt safe under the sofa and he was probably not feeling well enough to come out. So we let him be.
Every morning, as I come downstairs, I hoped to see Tiger at the grille again, but each day, he would be still under the sofa, hiding.
This morning, I came down and Tiger was still under the sofa. But soon after I started preparing their meals in the kitchen, Tiger came out!!
Celebrate!!
Tiger was at the grille waiting, with Indy and the rest of them!!
He came out all by himself! Now, that is a milestone!!
Out from self-exile!!
Eating with everyone else.
Tiger is eating homemade food. Under his TCM treatment, he can only eat one source of protein (I chose chicken) and vegetables.
Going to the sandpit.
Looking out.
All these are very encouraging signs because for 4 whole days, he had been staying under the sofa in darkness.
Scratching!!
Wow!!
I haven’t seen Tiger scratch for more than a week now.
But I had to give him his Chinese meds, so after that, he went back to under the sofa and has been there since.
Still, I hope all this means he is feeling better and perkier.
Life is about moments. And helping Tiger through his epilepsy is really, literally, about coping with moments.
We thank everyone very much for wishing Tiger well!
No seizures were observed on Thursday and Friday. Praying hard acupuncture and Chinese meds are working.
