Bunnys Urine Test
Tweet |
I managed to collect Bunny’s urine this morning! It so happened that after I dabbed iodine on his anal wound, he sprayed. So I quickly sucked up the urine using the syringe the vet had provided and transferred it into the collection bottle.
We sent the urine to the clinic and got the results – Bunny’s urine is free of sugar!
Yay!!!
We haven’t decided if a blood test is necessary at this point in time. Will let the anal wound heal first. Meanwhile,
Bunny is obediently taking his antibiotics (I reward him with a spoonful of wetfood after that). It’s just the CoenzymeQ10 that has posed a bit of a problem. Yesterday, I plopped the whole capsule in (it’s not that big, really), but later, he vomited it out (but this could also be due to the raw chicken I had given him). This morning, I cut open the capsule and mixed the oil with his wetfood. Unfortunately, the smell was too fragrant so Bunny was probably turned off by it. He avoided the food entirely. Eventually, he needed some coaxing and finally did eat up his food with the oil. I’ll find a way to ensure he takes the CoQ10. Maybe plopping in the capsule is still better so that I can be sure he eats the whole thing and none of it is wasted.
Taking his evening nap.
