Vincent, The Jungle Cat (for Today)
Today, the same thing happened again for breakfast. Ginger chased Vincent away. Sigh…I haven’t figured out how to stop Ginger from doing this yet.
So, Vincent decided he’d hide in a bush instead of under the car. I placed his food (for this morning, it’s Monge, Primal and Go!) near the bench where he has eaten before, but he refused to come out, so if Vincent doesn’t go to food, food shall go to Vincent.
And yes, he is eating!!
Success!
Vincent, the Jungle Cat….for today.
Soon, everyone had finished their breakfast at the patio and it’s time to keep everyone from snatching Vincent’s food.
Heidi is not a mean snatcher. She will just watch and hope for left-overs. She’s a good cat. Not a bully. She will definitely stand her ground, but she does not bully.
Our Russian is a different story all together.
He always has tricks up his sleeves and he DOES bully.
So I had to keep him at bay. Now, using the leg isn’t exactly very smart, because he doesn’t like being restrained this way and has bitten me before.
Thank goodness Ginger has this habit of lounging at the chairs after food. The PatioCat that Vincent fears the most is Ginger. Yes, mild-mannered Ginger. Perhaps, not so mild-mannered after all as far as their own diplomatic relations are concerned.
The Russian is up to something.
He’s in a flower beds and making rustling noses to distract Vincent.
Vincent is distracted and stops eating many times to look over his shoulder.
Zurik, will you please stop this mischief?
Heidi is good. She just waits patiently, hoping for some left-overs.
By the way, Vincent’s food has Plague Off and Transfer Factor Advanced Plus.
On another note, I am also giving Bunny the TF Adv Plus (since Bunny is FIV+; I’ve read up a lot about this product in the cat forums) and for Cow, I’m giving him Plague Off since he has a bad tooth and bad breath. With these two, there is no problem in feeding them these supplements – they are both greedy eaters and they lap up everything.
What I’ve found out about the TF: There is a Feline TF as well as Canine TF, but these contain yeast and some animals don’t do too well with yeast. In the forums, pet owners reported that they give the humans’ TF (plus version – it’s named differently in other countries, I think, but it’s the “plus” version) and they reported very good results with their pets. These are all anecdotal, of course, but it’s what we have.
The above is only a sharing. Do please consult your vet for a professional opinion.
Maybe Vincent wants to eat separately because he eats slowly.
I gave him quite a bit of food today.
Some bits left behind – for Heidi.
I have to figure out how to stop Ginger from chasing Vincent, if at all that is possible.
But meanwhile, Vincent IS eating and that is a good thing.
He ate all three big meals yesterday too!
Every meal that Vincent eats is a blessing and a miracle!
And this happened yesterday afternoon…
I found Vincent and Rosie under the chair with Mr Zurik hounding them.
It looks like Rosie is protecting Vincent?
Or is Rosie seeking help from Vincent?
Cat politics and diplomatic relations – it’s more complicated than that of humans’!
