Go, Vincent, Go!

Vincent got a surprise and a treat this afternoon.
All the PatioCats came to the kitchen waiting for lunch. All, except Vincent. He was under my car in the porch.
I had a feeling that perhaps Vincent is tired of the same food (even though I do vary the food for all three meals in a day).
Just this afternoon, I got a packet of Go!, the new petfood that we are selling for fundraising (by donation).
Vincent didn’t know about this (he thought lunch was going to be the “same old food” again).
After I had served everyone at the patio with the “same old food”, I opened the new packet of Go! and poured out a bowl (with a little bit of wetfood laced with Plague Off). Then, I took it out and put it under the car for Vincent.
Vincent was caught by surprise.
Hmm…what is that new smell?
Then, the magic happened – he started eating!!
And I sat a little farther away to watch him – nope, there was no flinching or twitching of the mouth. That’s good. Hopefully, there is no pain in his gums. Even if there is, let it be bearable pain. The Go! kibble is rather small, though. Good and bad – if it’s bigger, he gets to chew. Now that it is small, he gets to swallow it whole. I suppose it has its pros and cons.
In any case, Vincent ate heartily, and since we are living from moment to moment, this is a good moment.
This is the flavour I bought. I heard it’s one of the most popular flavours for cats. It’s grain-free too.
If you’d like to order, please see this: https://myanimalcare.org/gifts/. We are only selling the bigger packs because we can only deliver if the order is at least RM300. But if you are looking at buying the smaller packs of various flavours to try, please do write to me at chankahyein@gmail.com and I’ll find out the price for you. The total purchase would still have to be RM300 above to facilitate delivery.
Vincent continued to eat.
Luckily he is not intimidated by Heidi.
But Vincent is terrified of Ginger.
I think Vincent’s quarrels with Zurik are over now, but I’m not sure.
Zurik is terrorising Rosie and Daffodil.
Zurik was going to go after Vincent’s food under the car, so I had to stop him by giving him a (free) massage!
So, Vincent ate heartily this afternoon.
It is a GOOD moment.
I would put “being able to eat with perhaps some bearable pain” way above going under anaesthesia for any procedure. The less human interference, the better. In any case, there is no 100% guarantee that human interference works. Vincent’s first gum-jab (steroids and tooth cleaning) worked like a miracle. The second didn’t quite work. I would definitely want to put off the third as long as possible.
If only healing can happen naturally, somehow, that would be really, really good.
Vincent’s daily massages will continue.
