Trust You Dogs Instincts In Judging Human Character

The full article is here.

In other words, dogs are incredibly good judges of character, which probably stems from their keen observation skills and the fact that they’ve lived closely with humans for more than 10,000 years.

The ability to pick up on a person’s emotional cues and level of trustworthiness may mean the difference between life and death for a dog, and this is one area in which they excel.

Please do read the whole article. It’s extremely informative.

And I have first-hand experience to know that this is absolutely true. Bobby was a remarkable judge of human character and he was never wrong about people.

I think it’s because dogs are so extremely loyal to their human, they would do anything and go out of their way to protect their human.

I remember once a gate repairman came to our house to do some repair work. Bobby didn’t like him at all. Bobby stayed by my side all the time while I was talking to him and the moment the guy tried to put his hand into his pocket, Bobby went for his hand, at lightning speed. The guy was so afraid he jumped back.

As it turned out, he wasn’t a good person at all. Bobby was normally very easy-going with most people who visited us. So when he didn’t like this person, we knew something must be very untrustworthy about him.

Trust your dogs. They know better.

Do cats know too? I hope so! We’ve got 13 of them “guarding” us!!  But what I’ve noticed about cats is that if someone who doesn’t like cats come a-visiting, the cats run off. So they don’t really protect their humans, I suppose. Cleo is the first cat to run off (in the old house).

But one cat will always stay behind.

Guess which one?

Cow.

Cow stays back to protect his human and his fort.
