NTU STUDENTS THREW A PARTY FOR MOTHER EARTH!

It was mid-March. The sun was scorching hot best time to talk about global warming. We were invited to be part of GreenFest, Our Earth, an awareness-raising event organised by a committee of NTU students who strongly believe in saving the Earth. We took the opportunity to promote cruelty-free living, one of the 6 focus areas of ACRES!

That day, we conversed with many students and school staff about choosing cruelty-free products that are not tested on animals, and selecting alternatives to common animal products, e.g. soy/almond/oat milk instead of dairy milk. Many told us that they did not know of cruelty-free choices and that animal agriculture is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions around the world. By taking less or no animal products, we are also helping to save our environment from pollution. From these feedback, we knew that our outreach purpose was well-served that day!

It was really a delightful and well-planned event. Great efforts from the students! Hope to be part of your next party for Mother Earth!
