World Spay Day

February 23rd is World Spay Day!
World Spay Day aims to educate people about affordable spay and neuter services to help address animal shelter overpopulation.
Every year, 2.7 million shelter pets in America are euthanized because there just isnt enough space to care for all of the dogs and cats coming into animal shelters.
There are a lot of reasons animals end up in shelters, but plain overpopulation is the one that we have the most power to control. You might think that shelters are overrun with dogs and cats that owners gave up, but twice as many actually went in as strays.
Spaying and neutering helps keep the stray animal population in check, reducing the number of animals shelters have to euthanize.
There are numerous benefits in sterilizing our pets, including longer lifespan, healthier and better behavior. Read more at http://PF.my/l12.
We can help reduce shelter strays by adopting them too. Thousands are available at http://PetFinder.my.
