ACRES – HSI PARTNERSHIP ON FARM ANIMAL WELFARE

ACRES and Humane Society International (HSI) has joint efforts to advocate for farm animal welfare.

Humane Society International (HSI) embodies the international programs of The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), a charitable nonprofit organization founded in 1954 with a constituency of more than eleven million people. Humane Society International oversees and coordinates the work of The HSUS abroad, addressing animal issues that cross many borders and impact millions of animals worldwide. HSI mission is celebrating animals and confronting cruelty worldwide.

Through this partnership, ACRES and HSI, will work together towards the promotion of animal welfare performers standards in corporations, retailers and financial institutions based in Singapore, with the aim to extend the impact to the greater Asia-Pacific region.

ACRES (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society) is a pioneering Singapore-based charity and Institution of Public Character, founded by Singaporeans in 2001 with the aim of promoting animal welfare.

ACRES has six focus areas: Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Wildlife Crime Investigation, Zoo Animal Welfare, Humane Education, Community Outreach and Promoting Cruelty-Free Living.
