THE YOUNG MACAQUE WHO STUMBLED UPON A PARADISE TREE SNAKE
Last week youve seen how a group of young macaques co-existed with a monitor lizard. This week, lets take a look at this rare and comical footage of a young macaque who unknowingly stumbled upon a paradise tree snake while he was busy stuffing food into his cheek pouch!
Despite being in shock, you will notice how both animals remained a respectable distance between one another to avoid conflict.
Just like the long-tailed macaques, these tree snakes are a normal sight especially on the perimeters of buildings near nature reserves. They are harmless and mainly feed on lizards and toads. Residents living near Bukit Timah Nature Reserve have been advised on various preventive measures to co-exist with these species.
So there! Another story of harmonious co-existence!
