The Bird House And Its Occupants

As you know, the Bird Family consists of Daffodil, Rosie and Ginger; so named because when Rosie and Ginger were small, they had punkish hair which made them look like baby birds.

Now, Daffodil LOVES boxes.

Which cat doesn’t, right?

But Daffodil’s trademark in every box which she considers her home and hideout (or bomb shelter, if you like) is her scratches on the box. She will scratch the base of the box until the cardboard comes off in bits. Only then will it be declared “home”.

This is Daffodil’s latest home, which we have affectionately called….

Ginger does occasionally go into the Bird House, but he’s more comfortable in his baskets.

Yes, baskets, with an “s”.

Heidi doesn’t get to go into the Bird House, but can share the nearby space.

In fact, this is my welcoming committee whenever I come out of the downstairs bathroom.

It’s enough to make your day and put a smile on your face!

Who says cats do not endear themselves to you, right?
