Join us and lets celebrate World Animal Day 2015 together! For us at the SPCA, it is an opportunity to raise animal welfare awareness closer to home.This year, we will be celebrating World Animal Day at The Cathay on the 3 October (Saturday), so bring along your family and friends! This is your chance to give an unwanted pet a loving home.Meet our adoptable Viking who will be joining us for the event!Science DietThe very popular Hills Science Diet pound-for-pound food drive is back! Help us collect 3000lbs worth of pet food, accessories and milk for our little ones by buying a bag of food because every bag you buy, the nice people at Hills will match your donation in purchase and weight. Lets reach our goal of 3000lbs!Animal Care CornerLearn awesome facts about your furry friend! At this booth we will feature tips on care for domestic animals and awareness on responsible ownership and care for community animals in Singapore.PAWS & WISH (Animal Dedication Board)Small plaques can be purchased and dedications can be written, to be hung on a dedication board.SPCA Wall of History & PhotoboothAs it is our last year doing World Animal Day while we are still at our Mount Vernon premises, this wall will feature old photographs, newsletters, and nostalgic paraphernalia. Take a Polaroid photo at our photobooth to take home with you!Launch of New & Exclusive SPCA MerchandiseSPCA will be releasing its official 2016 diaries and calendars, new merchandise and limited edition products to celebrate SPCAs expansion to our new premises.AVA Learning CornerLearn about responsible pet ownership and how you can take care of the animals in our community. Educational colouring activities will be available for children.Face and Hand PaintingGet your face painted like your favourite domestic animal!Balloon SculpturingDon’t get your balloons in a knot, instead get them shaped into your favourite animals!Pet Virtual RealitySee through the eyes of your pet! This interactive and exciting game will give us an insight into what it is like being in the paws of the animal and understand its physiology, needs and fears.Stage Acts- Official launch of the book, Do You See That Doggie At The Shelter? promoting the importance of adoption, where a storytelling and poetry session will be done by Stephanie Dogfoot.- Participate in our games and quizzes to win attractive prizes.- Dog nutritional demonstrations.- Watch SPCAs Alumnus Pedro on wheelies zoom around on our stage!- Meet and greet SPCAs mascot Max along with our Singapura Specials, Ida and Viking who are up for adoption!RSVP on our Facebook Event and well see you then!
