I WAS DUMPED BY THE PERSON I LOVED THE MOST
I will never understand why the human I loved more than anyone else just abandoned me one day. Had I done something wrong? I really tried to be good. I am a beautiful, 3 year old girl called Natnicha and now, I am all alone in the world.
I was brought to the Soi Dog shelter by some kind people who lived near me. They saw that my owner had left town and had not bothered to take me with him. I was heart-broken and so very lonely. I loved my owner, but it was immediately obvious to the vets here that he had never taken good care of me anyway.
I had bald patches all over my body and was suffering from something called hyperkeratosis. This meant I had a lot of thick, calloused skin which had become cracked and sore. I was also suffering from a fungal skin infection and a tick-borne illness called erlichia. I had been neglected for a very long time, before finally being abandoned.
Dogs like me really have no hope without you. There is simply nobody else we can turn to. When the kind people brought me to the Soi Dog shelter, I could only be taken in and cared for thanks to donations from people like you. These donations literally save thousands of lives every year.
With kind Soi Dog supporters now funding my treatment, I have been started on the medication I have needed for so long. Maybe one day I will find a new human to love, but for now, I am safe. I wish I could say the same for the others.
As you read this, another sick, injured, abused or abandoned dog or cat is in desperate need of help. Soi Dog want to save them all, but without YOUR support, they are powerless to act. Will YOU please commit to a small, monthly gift so that more animals like me can be saved?
