A Blanket, The Birds And A Wriggly One
Tweet |
Two nights ago, something seemingly “cute” happened while we were watching tv in the living room.
Ginger dragged his Carebears blanket to where we were and he, Rosie and Daffodil surrounded the blanket.
While it did look rather cute, we sort of knew there had to be something inside the blanket.
It was the typical “pack dynamics” which I’ve seen before…when the cats surround a prey.
True enough, when my husband checked, there was a wriggly one inside the blanket.
It was a small snake.
We don’t know if the snake had crawled in or a cat had brought it in, but it was trapped inside the blanket, somehow.
The blanket was ruffled, like so.
My husband took the blanket out and when he opened it, Ginger caught the small snake and took it away from the house.
Then, he came back. Without the snake.
We washed the blanket immediately.
And since then, the Bird Family has been on guard.
The cats have stopped wriggly ones in its tracks at the porch quite a number of times before, but this time, it managed to come in. Or, maybe it was brought in as an “offering”?
