I am a little girl called Muay � still a kitten, just 4 months old. Born on the street, I have never had a home or anyone to care for me. I had to learn from an early age how to take care of myself.

It�s a tough life on the streets and I tried to stay safe, but I wasn�t prepared for the big dog that attacked me. He grabbed me between his jaws and shook me all over. I was left lying in the street, too traumatised to make a sound.

I was attacked near a temple, and a passing monk saw what had happened. When he bent down to touch me, he thought I was dead. Only when he picked me up, did I let out a little cry. My fight for life had begun.

It is only because of one very special group of people that I am alive today. When the monk arrived at the Soi Dog shelter with me in his arms, the vets there could only take me in because of some special cat lovers who have joined Soi Dog�s Care for Cats Club.

This means they fund emergency medical treatment for street cats like me that have nobody else to care for them. I have a fractured leg from that attack and a big bite wound, but because of the Care for Cats Club, I am getting the medical treatment I need.

Despite the terrible thing that happened to me that day, I am one of the lucky ones. As you read this, cats and kittens continue to suffer. Soi Dog wants to help them all, but the Care for Cats Club desperately needs more members if this is to happen.
