BE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH FOR ME

I have been through horrendous trauma after a speeding car very nearly killed me. My name is Judy Greer and I am 4 years old. Like so many others, I have lived on the streets my whole life.

When that car ploughed into me, I will never forget the terror. My screams echoed down the highway as I was flung to the side of the road. The lower half of my tummy was opened up by the impact. The wound was so deep that my muscles were exposed. I lay there, trembling in fear and in the most unimaginable pain.

This is where people like YOU mean the difference between life and death for dogs like me. Because of Soi Dog supporters, an Animal Rescue Officer was able to pick me up and race me to the shelter where Dr Eugene took over.

My life hung in the balance. As well as my tummy having been ripped open, my left back leg was inflamed all the way up to the hip. There were bits of gravel and other debris from the street deeply embedded in my wounds. Dr Eugene told me that my injuries were so severe he would have to give me special medication to make me sleep before he could begin to clean them out.

When I woke up, he had cut away all the dead and infected tissue around my injuries and closed up my wounds. I was no longer in agony because he had given me some medicine for the pain. Dr Eugene continued to watch me closely. It was still touch and go, but I am a fighter.

Within hours, I was able to stand up and I started to eat. This is what people like YOU have done for me. It is a sad fact that without donations, Soi Dog simply cannot help dogs like me. I would have died at the side of that road, all alone and in unbearable pain. Instead, the support of people like you saved my life.
