Imagine the terrible shock of the lady driving along a busy highway who suddenly saw something thrown out the window of a car a couple of places ahead of her. In very heavy traffic, she managed to pull over, got out of her car, and approached the small bundle at the side of the road.

She found a tiny kitten that wasn�t moving and had sustained a leg injury so serious that she thought it was dead. Just then, a tiny flicker of movement made her realise the kitten was still alive. Wasting no time, she picked the kitten up, placed it on her lap in the car, and drove the considerable distance to our shelter.

As he was too weak to take milk from a bottle, our co-founder Gill took Hendrik home and is now feeding him with a syringe. Two days later, he is already getting stronger, although there is a possibility his leg may need to be amputated once he has recovered sufficiently.
