#DontFlyWild (for Cecil And Many More)

This is for Cecil and many, many more in the animal kingdom. Let’s applaud the airlines that are taking a stand against trophy hunters by refusing the transport the hunted animals back for them. Let’s urge other airlines to follow suit.
For Cecil. For all animals.
#DontFlyWild
This is a message from HSI.
Global outrage over the tragic death of Cecil the Lion – senselessly shot by an American trophy hunter with a bow and arrow – shows no signs of slowing down. As his story illustrates, lions and other majestic animals are prized targets of trophy hunters who travel to Africa to kill threatened and endangered species to bring their parts back home as trophies.
Adding insult to injury, when airlines willingly transport the dead animals, they’re providing trophy hunters – and even poachers – a getaway vehicle for their theft of wildlife.
Just yesterday, Humane Society International and The Humane Society of the United States launched a campaign to press major airlines to review and strengthen their policies concerning the shipment of trophy kills. Virtually overnight, a cascade of carriers has either clarified or enacted bans on the transportation of spoils from the trophy killing industry. Delta, Virgin Airways, United Airlines, KLM and other airlines are all in flight from the destruction and death meted out by trophy hunters on the African continent.
Without a way to transport their trophies home for bragging rights, these hunters will have no motivation for traveling to Africa to kill these iconic animals in the first place.
Thank you for all that you do for animals.
Sincerely,
Andrew Rowan
