MOTHER DOG WALKS MILES TO GET HELP FOR PUPPIES IN FIELD

There are days when we think Norica Prigoana must be carved from stone. She’d have to be. This petite woman toils, truly toils, 18 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide care for castaway dogs in Gherla, Romania. And what she did today, will simply melt your heart.

“A very skinny mother and four little babies ,3-4 weeks ol, were abandoned in a field,” Norica explains. “The mother has been hit by a car on one leg, but walked on desperate to find food. She appeared at a guest house very skinny and tired, without milk. She had walked 4 kilometers (2 1/2 miles) round trip to search for food to have milk for her babies.”

“We went to search her babies by following the mother dog on the road, crowded by cars. She was very happy that we follow her, and every few steps, she stopped to ensure that we did not leave her alone. After 2 kilometers, as you see in the pictures, she led us into the field where 4 little babies were crying after their mum. It was impossible to leave them there.”

Norica’s big wish tonight is to have sufficient funds to provide this heroic mother dog with nutritious food and vitamins and to keep her and her puppies safe. She has no idea we’re asking for help. But we believe that little family of dogs deserves good care and we believe that Norica is LONG OVERDUE for a happy surprise.
