SABAH SHARK WORKSHOP, 28 APRIL, MING GARDEN HOTEL

A full-day workshop dedicated towards discussing further protection of shark and ray species in Sabah.

Representatives from Department of Fisheries (DoF), Sabah Wildlife Department (SWD), Sabah Parks, Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA), ESSCOM, University of Malaya, UMS, Marine Spatial Planning, Shangri-La Tanjung Aru & SPA, Magalum Tours & Dive Resort, TRACC, Scubazoo, Forever Sabah, LEAP, Scuba Junkie/SEAS, Banggi Youth Club (BYC), Green Semporna, Kudat Turtle Conservation Society (KTCS), YTL, Rasa Ria Resort, WWF-International, and WWF-Malaysia attended.

This workshop also gave recognition Ming Garden Hotel for its pledge to not serve shark fins in all their food and beverage outlets in the hotel.
