Chara was hit by a car at just 5 months of age. She arrived at our shelter in horrendous agony and was unable to stand or walk on her hind legs.

Chara would not be here today without people like you. Will you please CLICK THIS LINK to help hundreds of other dogs like her? http://bit.ly/Saving-Chara

This poor little girl had to have pins inserted in her legs and undergo regular physiotherapy with one of our long-term volunteers. It was really touch and go if she was going to make it but, thanks to the support of people like you, we were determined to do our utmost to save her.

After several weeks of treatment, Chara began to take her first, tentative steps, using her back legs for short periods at a time. With ongoing physiotherapy, she gradually improved day by day. Today, it is a completely different Chara here at our shelter.

This is what just a few dollars a week can accomplish for hundreds of dogs every year. Will you please CLICK THIS LINK to join our supporters in funding the treatment of sick and injured dogs that have nobody else to turn to? http://bit.ly/Saving-Chara

It was a joyous day when Chara was recently moved out of our clinic and into our puppy run. As you will see from the later pictures in this album, the improvement in her condition is dramatic, as she is now running and playing with the other pups.

From the sad little girl who couldn’t walk on arrival, to the bouncy pup running around with her friends, this is the perfect example of the miracles accomplished by Soi Dog supporters. Please join them. No amount is too small to make a difference.
