My name is Blue Sky. Please ADOPT ME!

I am 4 years and 6 months old. I have been living at Soi Dog, Phuket, Thailand for 6 months now.

I was brought to Soi Dog because I had been shot with a gun. I had a terrible wound on my hip which gave me unbearable pain and made it difficult to walk. I do not know why somebody shot me. Maybe they thought it was fun. Maybe they wanted me to die. Either way I do not understand, as I have always been a nice dog and I would not want to hurt anyone. Sadly, some people can be very cruel.

Luckily the kind people at Soi Dog came to my rescue. They saw that I was hurt and took me back to their shelter, where they tended to my wound and made me well again. That was so nice of them. I live at the Soi Dog shelter now in a run with 18 other dogs and we do have fun playing together. Also when there are enough volunteers here, we get a daily walk which brightens up our day immensely!

I overheard the volunteers talk about me the other day, and they used words like �energetic,� �enthusiastic� and �confident.� I am not sure what these words mean, but I think that they are positive ones. I know that I am very good with people; I am a keen walker and good on a leash.

As much fun as it is here at Soi Dog, I hope that I will have a home of my own one day. I have heard that other dogs from the shelter have been adopted recently and that is just wonderful. Please let it be my turn soon. I do not think that the shelter was ever meant to be a permanent home for a dog; just a stopping ground, while we found our feet again.
