Animal Lovers Want Stricter Rules For Pet Cafes

Where setting up pet cafes is concerned, SPCA’s stand is that animal welfare has to take precedence, at all times, over all else in the cafe concerned, including the business operations and profit.

In any of such cafes concerned, the animals’ welfare cannot be compromised, at any time.

Thanks to the Straits Times for seeking SPCA’s stand on the issue of pet cafes, in today’s published article, in “Home”, page B2 (27 Dec 2014 edition).



Animal rights activists are calling for more specific laws and stricter enforcement to ensure the welfare of animals in pet cafes.
