The Recovery Process From Dengue Fever
Tweet |
Dear Friends,
Thank you very much for your kind messages and moral support.
Today is Day 6 since my high fever started and according the the general trend of dengue fever, Day 6 is when the platelet count takes a dip. Mine took a dip too, but it was an insignificant dip so the doctor gave me the option of either staying on in hospital or coming home to recuperate. I chose the latter, of course, as I do miss the cats very much, so I am home now. However, my platelet count has not risen yet, but based on the general trend, it should start rising on Day 7 or Day 8. I also developed a stomach problem as a result of the fever. The doctor has given me medical leave to rest and recuperate at home.
The reason I am writing all this here is, firstly, to let all concerned friends know (please treat this as a personal email to you) and secondly, to appeal to the applicants who still keep emailing application enquiries (despite having been told I am sick) to please stop sending them as I still have not recovered. If you need the money urgently, kindly get the subsidies from other organisations. Thirdly, to those applicants who wonder when they will be paid, my husband has already collected all your applications (there are a total of 12 envelopes). Could you please give me a few days more of rest? Thank you for your kind understanding.
To all concerned friends who wish me well – Thank you very much for your kind messages and wishes! You have my deepest appreciation and heartfelt thanks.
I had not been able to sleep for the past 2 days at the hospital, so I bid you goodnight now.
