This is Sharon, a senior gold retriever who lost her sight. Although she is old and blind, she has a gentle demeanour, likes human companionship and is very endearing.

A couple found Sharon in a back lane few months ago. It was raining heavily and Sharon stumbled to find shelter from the rain. The couple couldn�t bear to see her suffer in the rain and contacted us, hoping that we can take Sharon in temporarily, and they promised to take her home after they settle down in their new home.
A few months have passed and we did not hear from them again, we wonder if they remember that a gold retriever by the name of Sharon is waiting for them.

We will settle Sharon down in H.O.P.E. Although we may not be able to give her the most comfortable living, we will try our best to provide Sharon her living needs, proper meals and a shelter from rain and harsh elements, so that Sharon can spend her old age in a safe environment.

Although Sharon can�t see, we know that she can feel the warmth we extend to her.

Homeless & Orphan Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.) is a non-profit organization and no-kill shelter that aims to improve welfare of strays and abandoned pets around Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Our four core missions are rescuing, re-homing, sterilization and increasing public awareness of pet ownership and responsibilities. Currently, we are caring for approximately 700 abandoned animals in our shelter located at Lima Kedai.
