My name is Taraji and I am a 5 year old girl. I have spent my life on the streets, like so many others. Every day is a fight for survival but I was managing to get by until I got very sick.

I was picked up one day by a man called Khun Nok. He is an Animal Rescue Officer with Soi Dog and he noticed that I had a very nasty tumour. Nok suspected I had something called TVT, which is a form of cancer that is easily spread among us street dogs.

Khun Nok took me to a nearby mobile clinic where a lady called Dr. Sai was working. She took one look at me and confirmed that Nok was right. I was sent immediately to the Soi Dog shelter, where I was started on something called chemotherapy.

My tumour is shrinking more and more each day now and I am feeling so much happier. I am a little bit scared of people when I first meet them but once they pat me, I will stick by their side and follow them around my run.

I know I am only here because of some very special people. They are Soi Dog supporters who send regular donations so that street animals like me can be rescued. Without them, Soi Dog would not be able to help us. These supporters are called the Emergency Response Team.

As you read my story, there are other dogs suffering. They are sick or injured; they have been abused or abandoned. They have nobody to turn to. Nobody but you.

Please join the Emergency Response Team so that they too can be helped. Just by doing that you will be putting an end to their suffering and giving so many a chance at life.

All you have to do is click on my picture to get started.

Please.

By joining the Emergency Response Team, you are making sure that suffering street dogs and cats get the life-saving treatment they so urgently need.
